BROKEN ROCKSMITH 2014 CABLE WINDOWS 10

Shut down your system completely, then restart it (with the cable un-plugged still), let it get into the windows 10 desktop. Open device manager and remove any mention of a Rocksmith / hocksmit cable.

Sadly :(īased on this, getting another Rocksmith cable would be a waste of your time and /u/Tu_stultus_est 's generosity. The cable seems to be fine, it just fails with an USB 3.0 port and Windows. Also the cable works in old PCs with USB 2.0 ports (sadly I don't have one to play on it) and works in a friend Macbook Pro.

BROKEN ROCKSMITH 2014 CABLE PS3

The cable works on a friend PS3 with Rocksmith, no problem. I've messed with my BIOS a lot, didn't manage to improve my chances. Attempting to reconnect it for an hour (yeah, same time limit as the other test) didn't get me a single working attempt. If I connect the same hub to an USB 3.0 port, I get the "Rocksmith USB Guitar Adapter" with the error "This device cannot start. Only once with this setup (after almost an hour attempting to reconnect), it worked for a brief while (RS2014 complained it wasn't configured into the best setting or something and redirected me to a guide to fix it) and, when I rebooted my PC, it was gone. If I connect the D-LINK DUB-H7 USB 2.0 HUB (It is externally powered) to one of the USB 2.0 ports and connect the cable on it, I get a "USB Audio Device" with the error "This device cannot start. If I connect the cable directly toone of my USB ports (no matter if it's 2.0 or 3.0), I get the "hocksmit" device with a "This device cannot start. All devices appears as connected to USB 3.0). (In device manager, there is "Device USB\VID_8087&PID_8000\5&18088fc2&0&1 was migrated." when I check the USB 2.0 ports, and no devices connected to it. This is my motherboard: As you can see, it (theoretically) comes with 8 USB 2.0 ports and 8 USB 3.0 (the latter with different controllers).Īpparently, in Windows 10, USB2.0 seem to get upgrades to some weird partial USB 3.0 port. If you reached this far in this post, thank you for your time and patience reading up to here, I'm really hopeful that someone will be willing to help. I know it's really bad to ask something like that on internet, but I'm getting desperate to find a solution. Is there any chance you guys got an old cable lying around, maybe with a bad 1/4 inch connector that I'm hoping to fix, willing to donate to some "random internet that's dying to play Rocksmith for almost 2 years"? I can't afford a new cable here (I live on Brazil and it was already expensive before, now it's an outrageous price, since the economy plundered and the country got in recession) and I can't find someone willing to ship to Brazil (apparently there's a lot of Brazilians trying to "steal" things from eBay, while not paying for the product - or something like that). Maybe I can get one fixed to use or something. I wonder if any of you are willing to donate your "trash/broken" cable to me. While searching I noticed that there is a lot of people complaining their RS2014 cables stop working on the 1/4 inch plug and are buying new cables. Luckily, a friend told me (after months searching) that he had one collecting dust at home (so I didn't have to buy it here - it's very expensive where I live). I've tried pretty much every trick out there to get it to work, even got a D-LINK DUB-H7 USB 2.0 HUB, that is a pain to get where I live. I can't get my original Rocksmith cable to work! :/

BROKEN ROCKSMITH 2014 CABLE PC

Since I got a new PC (December 2013), I'm unable to play RS2014. Rocksmith Note Guide (aka what is this symbol?)Īfter reading a LOT of topics on google, I couldn't find a way to get my cable working on my PC. See how you Rank Worldwide with Rocksmith Buddy!
